KARACHI – Web Desk: Asian stock markets showed positive momentum at the start of the new trading week, while the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) experienced a negative trend, market data showed.
The PSX’s benchmark KSE-100 index fell 0.7 percent, trading at 169,472 after dropping 1,199 points.
In contrast, major Asian indices posted gains. Japan’s Nikkei index rose 1.6 percent, while Korea’s Kospi jumped 2.3 percent. Thailand’s SET index added 1 percent. China’s Shanghai Stock Exchange gained 0.15 percent, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index rose 0.25 percent.
