WASHINGTON – Web Desk: The United States has restored the death penalty using lethal injection and firing squad methods for dangerous criminals, the Department of Justice announced.
According to the DOJ, executions will be carried out once appeals are exhausted. Approval has been granted for the execution of 44 inmates.
The move overturns a moratorium on federal executions that was imposed during the administration of former President Joe Biden.
