TEHRAN/ISLAMABAD – Web Desk: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will visit Pakistan, Oman, and Russia starting this evening for high-level bilateral consultations, Iranian media reported on Thursday.

Iran’s semi-official Mehr News Agency stated that the top diplomat will begin his tour with Islamabad, followed by Muscat and Moscow. The purpose of the visit is to discuss bilateral consultations, recent regional developments, and the latest situation regarding the war imposed by the United States and the Israeli government against Iran, according to the agency.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has termed the arrival of the Iranian delegation led by Foreign Minister Araghchi as a significant diplomatic development.

Sources told ARY News that after Araghchi’s contact, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reached out to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and briefed him on the conversation with his Iranian counterpart. The prime minister and deputy prime minister discussed the regional security situation and concerns over rising tensions, as well as the second round of negotiations between Iran and the United States.

Pakistan remains actively engaged in bringing both parties back to the negotiation table soon. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued important policy and diplomatic directives for peace and stability, sources said.

Pakistan is committed to reducing regional tensions, building confidence, and moving forward the negotiation process. Sharif has directed accelerating high-level diplomatic contacts and continuing consultations.
