Trump Orders US Navy Action Against Hormuz Mine Boats

Date:

WASHINGTON, United States – Web Desk: US President Donald Trump said he has ordered the United States Navy to destroy any vessel involved in laying naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement posted on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump said any boat — large or small — involved in planting mines in the strategic waterway would be targeted.

He claimed that all 159 enemy naval vessels had already been destroyed, though no independent verification of that figure was immediately available.

Trump also said US minesweepers are actively working to clear the Strait of Hormuz and that he has ordered military operations in the area to be increased threefold.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most critical oil shipping routes, and any military escalation in the area could significantly impact global energy markets and international trade.

The statement comes amid heightened tensions between the United States and Iran, with global markets closely monitoring developments in the region.
