(Web Desk: Islamabad, Pakistan) Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted a test of an air-launched anti-ship cruise missile system, named “Taimur,” demonstrating enhanced precision strike capabilities, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The ISPR said the missile test reflects the Navy’s operational readiness and its ability to accurately engage maritime targets with high precision. The air-launched cruise missile completed its mission with “remarkable accuracy,” the military’s media wing stated.
According to ISPR, the trial validated Pakistan Navy’s capability to detect, track, target, and neutralize maritime threats effectively, reinforcing its combat readiness in conventional warfare scenarios.
Officials described the successful test as a significant development in strengthening Pakistan’s defense capabilities, enhancing multi-domain operational effectiveness and integrated strike potential of the armed forces.
The statement further emphasized that Pakistan Navy remains fully committed to safeguarding national maritime interests and ensuring the security and sovereignty of its territorial waters.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Chief of Defence Forces General Asim Munir, and other services chiefs congratulated the scientists and engineers involved in the successful test.
