Lahore, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 16-member Test squad for the upcoming series against Bangladesh, with Shan Masood set to continue as captain.
According to details, four new players have been included in the squad, reflecting a blend of experience and emerging talent. Several squad members are already participating in the ongoing red-ball training camp at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.
The national Test squad will assemble in Karachi on April 27, with the preparatory camp scheduled to conclude on May 1. The team is set to depart for Bangladesh on May 2.
Players currently participating in Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) will join the camp after completing their respective franchise commitments.
Former Test captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been appointed as head coach for the Bangladesh tour. He will be supported by former internationals Asad Shafiq as batting coach and Umar Gul as bowling coach.
The squad includes prominent players such as Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, and Imam-ul-Haq.
The two-match Test series will begin on May 8, with the second Test scheduled for May 16.
