Beirut, Lebanon – Web Desk: A 10-day ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel has officially come into effect, triggering celebrations in the Lebanese capital Beirut, where large crowds took to the streets to mark the development.
According to international media reports, residents poured out of their homes following the implementation of the truce, celebrating in several areas. Some locations also witnessed aerial firing as people expressed relief and hope for lasting peace.
In Tehran, Iran’s capital, reactions also emerged, where slogans in support of Hezbollah echoed through gatherings following the ceasefire announcement.
Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force, Esmail Qaani, stated that the people of Lebanon and the region believe Hezbollah has achieved success in the conflict. He added that the ceasefire reflects the resilience of Lebanon’s resistance and Iran’s support.
Analysts suggest that although the ceasefire is temporary, it may help reduce regional tensions and open the door to broader stability if both sides fully comply with the agreement.
