Rawalpindi, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted a test of an indigenously developed anti-ship missile, the military’s media wing said on Thursday, marking another milestone in the country’s defence modernization program.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the locally developed missile accurately struck a target at long range with high precision and speed during the operational trial.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf witnessed the missile firing test, while teams of scientists and engineers were also present at the site, the statement added.

ISPR said the missile is equipped with an advanced guidance system and modern technology, enabling it to effectively engage targets even in rapidly changing operational environments and counter emerging maritime threats.

The military’s media wing described the successful trial as a clear demonstration of Pakistan’s growing technological capability and indigenous defence production capacity. It added that the test reflects the effective integration of operational readiness and advanced engineering expertise.

Following the successful trial, the President, Prime Minister, and senior military leadership praised the participating teams for their achievement.

ISPR further stated that the Pakistan Navy remains committed to strengthening maritime defence capabilities and ensuring operational preparedness. The test also underscores Pakistan’s continued efforts to maintain effective deterrence and contribute to regional maritime security and stability.
