Gaza-Web Desk: Palestinian group Hamas has welcomed the ongoing Iran–United States negotiations being held under Pakistan’s mediation, describing the diplomatic effort as a positive step toward regional de-escalation.
According to media reports, Hamas expressed support for the talks taking place in Pakistan, which bring together Iranian and American delegations for high-level discussions aimed at reducing tensions and exploring pathways toward a broader settlement.
In a statement, Hamas said it supports efforts aimed at ending what it described as the “war” involving the United States and Israel against Iran, and called for a comprehensive and lasting resolution to regional hostilities.
The group also said it is looking forward to the success of mediation efforts led by Pakistan and other participating countries, highlighting the importance of diplomatic engagement in resolving long-standing conflicts.
The comments come as Pakistan continues to play a facilitation role in hosting and supporting international dialogue between key regional and global actors amid heightened tensions in the Middle East.
No official response has yet been issued by US or Israeli authorities regarding Hamas’s statement.
