Pakistan, Saudi Arabia Agree to Expand Strategic Partnership

Islamabad-Web Desk: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to further strengthen their strategic partnership, with both sides committing to expand cooperation in trade, investment, and economic development.

The understanding was reached during a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Arabia’s Finance Minister at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad.

According to an official statement, the visiting Saudi delegation held detailed discussions with Pakistani leadership on enhancing bilateral economic ties. Warm greetings were also conveyed for Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of recent leadership-level communications and praised Saudi Arabia’s continued support for Pakistan’s economic stability and development.

Both sides agreed to broaden cooperation in key sectors, including trade, investment, energy, and financial collaboration, with a shared commitment to long-term economic engagement.

The statement added that Pakistan reiterated its commitment to standing alongside Saudi Arabia in all circumstances, while emphasizing that bilateral relations are based on mutual trust, shared values, and common strategic interests.

Senior Pakistani officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Field Marshal Asim Munir, also attended the meeting.

Officials said the discussions also included broader regional stability and coordination on economic initiatives aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

The visit underscores the deepening economic and strategic ties between the two countries as they seek to enhance cooperation in a changing regional and global landscape.
