Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Esmail Baghaei has said Iran is willing to see an end to what it described as an “imposed war,” but insists on firm guarantees that such a conflict will not resume.
Speaking at a press briefing, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that Tehran would not hesitate to defend its territory and sovereignty under any circumstances, regardless of external pressure or timelines.
Baghaei emphasized that the primary guarantee Iran seeks is ensuring that its adversaries do not attempt to violate the country’s sovereignty again. He warned that Iran is prepared to deploy all available capabilities and resources in response to any aggression.
He further said Iran would ensure that its adversaries “regret their actions,” adding that recent developments had proved costly for the United States, which he described as facing a “devastating embarrassment.” According to Baghaei, the situation demonstrated that Iranians unite in defense of national sovereignty.
The spokesperson also highlighted the role of various segments of Iranian society, including tribal groups, in supporting national defense efforts. He reiterated that Iran remains committed to safeguarding its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national dignity at all costs.
The remarks come amid heightened regional tensions, with global attention focused on potential de-escalation efforts and diplomatic initiatives to prevent further conflict in the Middle East.
