Dubai, UAE – Web Desk: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for a drone strike targeting a US technology company’s data center in Dubai. The IRGC said the alleged attack was carried out in response to a recent assassination attempt on Iranian figures Kamal Kharazi and his wife.
However, Dubai authorities have denied the claim, stating that no attack occurred on Oracle’s facilities in the city.
The IRGC had previously released a list of 18 major US technology and industrial companies, including Microsoft, Google, Apple, Meta, Intel, IBM, Tesla, and Boeing, warning that their installations in the Middle East could be targeted in retaliation for actions against Iranian nationals.
In an official statement, the IRGC’s public relations department said, “As previously warned, we will target espionage technology and AI companies responsible for the enemy’s terrorist operations in response to attacks on Iranian personalities.”
This latest claim highlights growing cyber and regional tensions between Iran and Western tech interests, raising concerns over potential escalation in Middle Eastern security dynamics.
