Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Former Iranian Foreign Minister and senior foreign policy advisor Kamal Kharazi was critically injured in a joint United States-Israel airstrike, while his wife was killed, local media reported.
The attack targeted Kharazi’s residence, who also serves as the head of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations. Known as a close advisor to the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Kharazi has remained influential under the new leadership of Mojtaba Khamenei.
He was immediately transferred to a hospital after sustaining severe injuries. The incident has raised tensions in Tehran, given Kharazi’s role in shaping Iran’s foreign policy and his proximity to the country’s top leadership.
Officials have not yet released details regarding the perpetrators’ motives or the extent of additional damage caused by the airstrike. The international community is closely monitoring the situation as concerns over regional security intensify.
