Malaysia PM Calls Shehbaz, Praises Pakistan’s Diplomacy

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Web Desk: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received a phone call from Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, who praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions in the Middle East.

During the conversation, the two leaders exchanged greetings on Eid-ul-Fitr and expressed prayers for unity and progress across the Muslim world.

Anwar Ibrahim commended Pakistan’s proactive role in promoting dialogue and mediation, highlighting Islamabad’s efforts to bring key stakeholders, including the United States and Iran, toward negotiations.

Prime Minister Shehbaz briefed his Malaysian counterpart on recent diplomatic engagements, including discussions with Gulf leaders and Iranian officials aimed at facilitating peace talks.

The Malaysian leader also shared insights from his own discussions with global counterparts, emphasizing the urgent need to end the ongoing conflict and restore regional stability.

Reaffirming strong bilateral ties, Anwar Ibrahim expressed Malaysia’s full support for Pakistan’s peace initiatives. In response, Shehbaz Sharif thanked Malaysia for its backing and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to de-escalation and constructive diplomacy.

Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact as efforts continue to resolve the crisis through dialogue.
