Trump Pressures Media Amid Low Public Support for Iran War

Date:

Washington, U.S. – Web Desk: U.S. President Donald Trump has reportedly intensified pressure on news media after the Iran war failed to gain public support. According to CNN, the Trump administration is filing daily complaints against broadcasters, while Trump continues to label critical outlets as “criminal” and “unpatriotic.”

CNN reports that FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, appointed by Trump, has threatened to revoke licenses of several broadcasters. Senior political commentator David Axelrod noted that the administration appears to have decided that attacking the media may be preferable if coverage of the conflict is negative.

In press interactions, Trump often dismisses tough questions about the war by branding them as “fake news,” further escalating tensions with U.S. media outlets. Analysts say this marks a new phase in Trump’s confrontational approach toward the press amid contentious foreign policy debates.
