Date:

Beirut, Lebanon — Web Desk: At least 12 medical workers were killed and several others injured after an airstrike reportedly hit a clinic in southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.

Arab media reports said the strike targeted a medical facility in the southern town of Borj Qalaouiyeh, where doctors, nurses and ambulance staff were on duty at the time of the attack. The clinic was reportedly completely destroyed, leaving multiple casualties among the medical personnel present inside the facility.

Health officials said at least 12 people were killed, while more than 10 others were injured, including several critically wounded victims. Authorities warned that the death toll could rise due to the severity of injuries sustained in the blast.

Reports also indicate that Israel Defense Forces carried out additional airstrikes across parts of southern Lebanon, targeting multiple locations. Witnesses said residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were affected, with fires breaking out in several areas.

Local reports added that roads, bridges and other public infrastructure sustained damage during the strikes, while evacuation measures in parts of southern Lebanon have reportedly accelerated amid rising security concerns.

The incident comes as tensions remain high along the Israel–Lebanon border, raising renewed international concern over the humanitarian impact of ongoing military operations in the region.
