SECP Raises Investment Limit for Pakistan Stock Market’s Sahulat Account

Date:

Islamabad – Web Desk : The Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has raised the investment limit for the Sahulat Account in the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) from PKR 1 million to PKR 3 million.

According to SECP, the Sahulat Account provides a simple and secure way for first-time investors to participate in the stock market. Investors can now open multiple Sahulat Accounts with different brokers, although each investor is limited to one Sahulat Account per broker.

The account can be opened online using a valid CNIC, making it easier for investors to access the capital market.

Currently, SECP reports that there are 542,000 sub-accounts of individual investors in the stock market, while Investor Accounts and Roshan Digital Accounts total 144,000.

SECP has also urged investors to avoid unauthorized foreign investment platforms and focus on investing in the Pakistan Stock Exchange, highlighting that the Sahulat Account is an effective tool for young investors to enter the capital market.
