Israel Strikes Iran Nuclear Site; Oil Tankers Hit Near Iraq

Date:

Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Israel has claimed it targeted a key Iranian nuclear facility near Tehran as regional tensions escalated following attacks on oil tankers near Iraq that left one crew member dead.

According to international media reports, two oil tankers came under attack near Iraqi waters while carrying more than 40 crew members. Rescue teams managed to evacuate 39 people safely, while one crew member was confirmed dead.

Initial reports suggest Iran may have been involved in the tanker attacks, although Tehran has acknowledged responsibility for only one of the incidents.

In response to the escalating security situation, Iraq suspended operations at several oil terminals as a precautionary measure. Reports also indicated drone strikes near the Port of Salalah in Oman, where fuel storage facilities caught fire, forcing authorities to halt operations.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military said it had targeted an important nuclear facility near Tehran. Israeli officials claimed the site, identified as the Taligan compound, was linked to advanced explosive research allegedly related to Iran’s nuclear weapons development.

Israeli authorities said the facility was previously associated with Iran’s alleged AMAD nuclear program, which Western governments believe was aimed at developing nuclear weapons. Iran has consistently denied these allegations.

Israeli forces also reported conducting additional overnight airstrikes on government-linked targets in Tehran.

Iran has warned that the conflict could expand further across the region. According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, potential future targets could include offices of major global technology companies such as Amazon, Google, Microsoft and Nvidia operating in the region.

The escalating confrontation between Iran and Israel has raised concerns over global oil supplies and shipping security in the Middle East.
