Shooting at U.S. Consulate in Toronto Sparks High Security Alert

Toronto, Canada – Web Desk: Early Tuesday morning, armed assailants opened fire at the U.S. Consulate in downtown Toronto, authorities reported. The incident, being treated as a potential terrorist act, left the building partially damaged but no injuries were reported.

Police confirmed that two unknown individuals in a white vehicle exited their car and fired multiple rounds at the consulate before fleeing the scene. Investigators discovered shell casings and evidence of gunfire outside the building.

Canadian authorities, including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, are conducting a joint national security investigation. Investigators have released an image of the suspect vehicle and urged the public to provide any information.

In response, security around U.S. and Israeli diplomatic missions in Toronto and Ottawa has been significantly tightened.
