Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iranian National Security Council Secretary-General Ali Larijani stated that the country has the full right to defend itself if U.S. military bases in the region are used against it.
In a televised interview, Larijani urged regional nations to prevent the United States from utilizing their territories for actions against Iran. He emphasized that Iran has no conflict with neighboring states, but if foreign bases are employed for attacks, Iran will respond in self-defense.
Larijani also criticized former U.S. President Donald Trump, saying his attacks on Iran failed to achieve their objectives. He claimed that several U.S. troops have been captured and reaffirmed that despite challenges, the Iranian nation remains united against aggression.
The official stressed that Iran did not close the Strait of Hormuz, although the ongoing conflict has affected regional maritime activity. While Iran does not seek war, Larijani insisted that aggressors must face consequences, and the United States will pay the price for its actions.
