Iran Claims 200 U.S. Troops Killed or Wounded in 24 Hours

Date:

Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that around 200 U.S. military personnel were killed or wounded during the past 24 hours amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

According to statements from the IRGC, 21 U.S. personnel were reportedly killed during an attack on a naval facility in Manama, where the United States Navy Fifth Fleet maintains a major regional base. The claims have not been independently verified.

Iranian officials also said that following a reported strike on a refinery in Tehran, retaliatory attacks targeted the refinery in Haifa. They further alleged that an American oil tanker had been struck during the escalation.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for firing missiles toward an Israeli naval facility in Haifa.

Security incidents were also reported elsewhere in the region. A drone strike was reported at a U.S. base in Erbil, while drone attacks allegedly targeted fuel storage tanks at Kuwait International Airport.

In response, Benjamin Netanyahu said members of the IRGC who surrender would not be harmed. He added that Israel stands with countries targeted by Iranian attacks and said several governments have been in contact with Israel regarding the situation.

Netanyahu also claimed that Israel, together with the United States, had achieved near-total operational control of Iranian airspace. He further asserted that a coordinated plan exists aimed at bringing an end to Iran’s current government.

The claims and counterclaims come amid a rapidly escalating regional confrontation involving Iran, Israel, the United States and allied groups across the Middle East.
