Khawaja Asif Criticises Zionism, Reaffirms Pakistan’s Nuclear Deterrence

Date:

(Web Desk) – Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has sharply criticised Zionism, calling it a threat to humanity and linking regional instability in the Muslim world to Israeli state ideology.

In a statement posted on social media, Asif said that since the establishment of Israel in Palestine, conflicts affecting the Muslim world have reflected what he described as the influence of Zionist ideology. He alleged that global economic systems have been under Zionist influence for decades and claimed that major powers are constrained by nuclear-armed states.

The defence minister also paid tribute to those who contributed to Pakistan’s nuclear programme, saying their efforts ensured the country’s sovereignty and security. “May God bless all those who played a role in making us a nuclear power,” he said, referring to Pakistan’s atomic capability and past nuclear tests that established it as a declared nuclear state.

Asif further stated that despite Iran’s reported willingness to pursue an agreement, war had been imposed upon it. He suggested that broader geopolitical designs were aimed at extending Israeli influence toward Pakistan’s borders.

He also expressed concern over regional alignments, alleging that Afghanistan, Iran and India share an agenda hostile to Pakistan’s interests. He urged national unity across political and religious lines to confront what he described as external threats to the country’s sovereignty.

Concluding his remarks, Asif called for unity within the Muslim world and expressed solidarity with the Palestinian cause, saying he hoped for peace and stability for Pakistan.

The comments come amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing debate over Middle East geopolitics and nuclear deterrence in South Asia.
