Indonesia Offers Mediation Between US and Iran Amid Rising Tensions

Date:

Jakarta, Indonesia – Web Desk: Indonesian President Joko Widodo has formally offered to mediate between the United States and Iran to ease escalating tensions in the Middle East.

According to a statement from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Widodo is fully prepared to act as a neutral mediator to facilitate dialogue between the two nations. The ministry highlighted that recent failed negotiations have heightened regional instability, posing a significant threat to global peace and security.

An Indonesian Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that President Widodo is even willing to travel to Tehran if necessary, to bring both sides to the negotiating table. The overarching aim of Indonesia’s offer is to restore favorable conditions in the region and prevent the outbreak of large-scale military conflict.
