Israel Strikes Tehran: Government HQ and Presidential Palace Hit

Date:

Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Israel has launched missile strikes targeting government headquarters and the presidential palace in Tehran, according to Iranian media reports on 28 February 2026. Additional targets reportedly included the Ministry of Defense, intelligence offices, an atomic energy facility, and a military complex.

Multiple missiles reportedly struck University Road and the Jomhouri area, causing panic across the capital. Explosions were also reportedly heard in other Iranian cities, including Isfahan, Kermanshah, and Qom.

Israeli Defense officials confirmed the attacks, describing them as preemptive measures to safeguard national security. Iranian authorities have yet to provide official figures regarding casualties or damage but have activated emergency response teams and security agencies.

Israeli media claims that a high-ranking government official was among the targets, while Reuters reports that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was not in Tehran at the time and has been moved to a secure location. The strikes mark a significant escalation in the ongoing Israel-Iran tensions and could have major regional security implications.
