Buenos Aires, Argentina – Web Desk: Argentine football superstar Lionel Messi has revealed his long-standing regret over not learning English during his school years.

In a candid interview on a Mexican podcast, Messi admitted that while he had time to study English, he did not make the effort, leaving him with a “severe sense of regret.”

“I had opportunities to communicate with some of the world’s most fascinating people, but I often felt half-ignorant,” Messi said. “I always thought about how foolish I was to waste that time, which is why I now emphasize education to my children.”

The 36-year-old forward, widely regarded as one of football’s greatest players, encouraged young people to prioritize education alongside their talents. His remarks shed light on the personal challenges even elite athletes face outside the sporting world.
