Bajaur, Pakistan – Web Desk: Following setbacks against the Pakistan Armed Forces, Afghan Taliban launched attacks targeting civilian areas in Pakistan’s Bajaur district. Security sources confirmed that mortar shells fired from across the border struck villages in Laghri, Bajaur and surrounding areas, injuring five people, including three women.

The injured were transported to Khar Hospital, where they are receiving treatment. Local residents expressed strong outrage over the cross-border attacks.

Security officials emphasized that the Pakistan Armed Forces are fully prepared to respond to any border aggression. As part of Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq, multiple Taliban positions were reportedly destroyed, and insurgents were forced to retreat. Pakistani forces also targeted Taliban firing positions in the Nawagai sector of Bajaur and Tirah in Khyber, and destroyed a Taliban checkpoint in the Chitral sector.

The escalation comes amid heightened tension along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, with authorities vowing continued vigilance to protect civilians and maintain border security.
