Anti-Government Protests Resurface Across Iran

Date:

(Web Desk) Iran – A fresh wave of anti-government protests has erupted in Iran, with students leading demonstrations across major universities for a second consecutive day, according to international media reports.

Protests have been reported at prominent institutions including University of Tehran, Amirkabir University of Technology, and Sharif University of Technology, where students gathered on campuses and nearby streets, chanting slogans against the government and Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Demonstrators were also seen waving the pre-1979 Iranian flag featuring the lion and sun emblem, a symbol often used by opposition groups. In several locations, reports indicate clashes between protesters and security forces.

Chants such as “We do not want this government” were heard during the rallies, as student-led activism appeared to take on broader political dimensions.

The renewed unrest follows last month’s large-scale protests and a subsequent security crackdown that reportedly resulted in hundreds of deaths and thousands of arrests. Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the latest demonstrations.
