US Braces for Historic Bomb Cyclone, Flights Canceled

Date:

Washington, D.C. – Web Desk: Millions of residents across the northeastern United States are under high alert as a powerful bomb cyclone is expected to bring heavy snowfall and damaging winds across the I-95 corridor.

According to US media reports, the storm could dump between 18 to 24 inches of snow in several areas, with wind speeds reaching up to 70 miles per hour. Officials warn that more than 20 million people could be affected by the severe weather conditions.

The storm has already disrupted air travel on a massive scale. More than 6,000 flights have been canceled, while hundreds of others face significant delays. In total, over 7,000 flights have been impacted nationwide.

Among the hardest-hit airports are those serving New York City, Boston, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C.

Authorities have declared states of emergency in six states as precautionary measures. Residents have been urged to avoid unnecessary travel, stock essential supplies, and follow official safety advisories.

Meteorologists warn that the combination of heavy snowfall, blizzard-like conditions, and powerful winds could lead to power outages, hazardous road conditions, and significant economic disruption across the region.

Officials continue to monitor the situation closely as emergency services prepare for potential large-scale response operations.
