Hania Aamir Breaks Silence on Harassment Allegations Row

Date:

Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistani actress Hania Aamir has broken her silence on a growing controversy surrounding harassment allegations in the entertainment industry, stating she maintains a zero-tolerance stance toward abuse and exploitation.

The issue surfaced after former model Mahnoor Rahim criticised the actress, alleging that a close associate of Aamir, a director-producer, had been accused of harassment. The controversy intensified when several models and actresses shared screenshots of alleged messages on social media, drawing widespread public attention.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Aamir said she had no prior knowledge of the allegations and was not involved in the matter in any capacity. Without naming any individual, she stressed that any behaviour undermining the dignity and safety of women and girls is unacceptable and must be addressed with seriousness and respect.

The actress also expressed support for women who have reportedly come forward with complaints, highlighting the urgent need for safe and respectful working environments in the entertainment industry and beyond. She added that she has chosen to distance herself from the individual in question, emphasising that professional or social associations should not be interpreted as endorsement of another person’s actions.

Aamir reaffirmed her commitment to accountability, mutual respect, and fostering safer professional spaces, urging society to stand against harmful behaviour and support victims. Her statement has received mixed reactions on social media, with many fans praising her clear stance against harassment, while others argued she should have spoken more directly and named those involved.
