Trump Recognition Milestone for Pakistan Diplomacy: Minister

ISLAMABAD – Web Desk: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has described the recognition of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and military chief Syed Asim Munir by U.S. President Donald Trump as a significant milestone for Pakistan’s diplomacy.

Speaking to local media, Chaudhry said the acknowledgment sends a strong message to India and the international community about Pakistan’s growing diplomatic influence and stable position on global issues. He described the recognition as a positive step in enhancing Pakistan’s international standing.

The minister emphasized that under the leadership of Sharif and Munir, Pakistan continues to represent the interests of the global Muslim community in international forums. He argued that the country’s advocacy for Muslim rights and engagement in global diplomacy has strengthened its strategic role.

Chaudhry praised Munir’s leadership, calling him an exceptional military figure whose contributions have enhanced Pakistan’s defense capabilities and strategic significance. He highlighted the importance of strong civil-military coordination in advancing national interests.

Addressing domestic politics, the minister criticized opposition efforts to challenge state authority, asserting that the government remains committed to maintaining law and order. He warned that attempts to disrupt institutional stability would be met with decisive action.

Chaudhry also underscored the importance of Pakistan–United States relations, stating that growing cooperation reflects mutual respect and shared interests on global issues.

Officials say Pakistan continues to pursue a balanced foreign policy aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties while advancing national development priorities.
