Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Corruption Cell has recovered dental implants worth around Rs250 million from a house in a private housing society in Islamabad, in what officials described as the country’s first such crackdown on illegal dental implant manufacturing.
According to the FIA, thousands of dental implants were being produced illegally without proper registration or regulatory approval. The seized equipment and implants have been handed over to the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) for further investigation and regulatory action.
Authorities said a criminal case is being registered against those involved, as investigations continue into the illegal manufacturing and distribution network. The raid marks the first documented operation targeting unlicensed dental implant production in Pakistan’s history.
