KARACHI, PAKISTNA – WEB Desk: Pakistan Customs has seized six kilograms of silver from a female passenger holding dual nationality at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, officials said.
According to a spokesperson for Pakistan Customs Karachi, the passenger arrived in Karachi on an international flight from Dubai. During a body search, customs officials recovered six silver bars, each weighing one kilogram.
The seized silver is estimated to be worth approximately 7 million Pakistani rupees, the spokesperson added. The goods were confiscated, and a case has been registered under the Customs Act 1969.
Authorities said further investigations are underway to determine whether the incident is linked to a broader smuggling network.
