Imran Khan Has 70% Vision in One Eye, Minister Says

Date:

ISLAMABAD:(Web Desk) – Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar has said that former prime minister Imran Khan retains 70% vision in one eye with corrective glasses and normal 6/6 vision in the other eye, following a fresh medical examination conducted under the directives of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Speaking at a public ceremony in Sheikhupura, the minister stated that a medical team reassessed the PTI founder’s health condition in compliance with court orders. According to Tarar, the doctors expressed complete satisfaction with the treatment currently being provided and confirmed that his medical condition is being closely monitored.

The law minister added that a detailed briefing on the examination results was shared with opposition leaders as well as the former premier’s personal doctors to ensure transparency regarding his health status. He emphasized that all necessary medical facilities would continue to be provided in line with legal and humanitarian requirements.

Separately, Parliamentary Secretary Daniyal Chaudhry reiterated that authorities have ensured access to required medical care and said that any additional specialists requested would be arranged.

During his remarks, Tarar also criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government over recent road closures, calling such actions unconstitutional and warning that authorities could take legal action against measures deemed outside the constitutional framework. He urged provincial leadership to operate within the limits of the law and maintain public order.

The latest medical update comes amid heightened political tensions, ongoing protests, and debates over the treatment and legal situation of the PTI founder. Government officials have maintained that all medical protocols are being followed, while opposition figures continue to raise concerns about health access and transparency.

Political analysts say developments surrounding Imran Khan’s health and legal status remain closely watched, as they continue to influence Pakistan’s broader political landscape.
