Tehran, Iran — Web Desk: Iran has reiterated that its missile program is a “red line” and will not be subject to any negotiations, a senior adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said, amid heightened regional tensions.
In an interview with Arab media, Ali Shamkhani, a senior adviser to Khamenei, said Iran’s missile program falls outside any negotiating framework and is not open for discussion. He added that Iran’s armed forces are on high alert and would respond immediately and decisively to any military action.
Shamkhani warned that any miscalculation by foreign powers would carry serious consequences, stressing that Iran would not hesitate to defend its security interests.
He said negotiations could be possible only if they were based on realism and without what he described as excessive or unrealistic demands.
The remarks come as tensions persist over Iran’s military capabilities and its nuclear and regional policies, with Western powers seeking to curb Tehran’s missile and nuclear programs through diplomatic and economic pressure.
