FIA Immigration uncovers major human trafficking network; female suspects arrested in Karachi.
Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration conducted a major operation at Karachi Airport, uncovering a human trafficking and sexual exploitation network. Two female passengers bound for Dubai were offloaded during immigration clearance after authorities discovered they were recruited under the pretense of tourist visas to work in massage centers abroad.
Investigations revealed that a woman from Faisalabad orchestrated recruitment via Facebook and WhatsApp. The network also involved facilitators in the UAE and accommodation arrangements in Karachi’s Azam Town. During the operation, the primary suspect responsible for handling travel arrangements and funds was also apprehended. Multiple mobile phones with incriminating WhatsApp chats and voice notes were seized.
All arrested suspects have been handed over to the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle. Authorities have indicated that further arrests and legal proceedings are expected.
