Registrar asks Sindh Interior Dept for terms before judicial inquiry on Gul Plaza tragedy

Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has issued a notice to the provincial government seeking its proposed conditions for the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the Gul Plaza tragedy.

According to court sources, the Registrar of SHC responded to a letter from the Sindh Interior Department, requesting that the government submit its conditions for the commission. Chief Justice of Sindh High Court has instructed that these initial terms be provided before a decision is made regarding the establishment of the inquiry.

The letter was sent following directives from the Chief Minister of Sindh, aiming to initiate the judicial investigation. The formation of the commission will proceed once the court reviews and considers the provincial government’s conditions.
