Top military leaders discuss regional security, joint exercises, and defence collaboration
Rawalpindi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan and Türkiye have reaffirmed their strategic military partnership as Chief of the Turkish General Staff General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu called on Chief of Army Staff & Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Friday.
During the visit, both sides discussed bilateral defence cooperation, regional security challenges, joint training programs, and capacity-building initiatives. Field Marshal Munir highlighted the brotherly ties between Pakistan and Türkiye, rooted in history, mutual trust, and strong people-to-people connections.
General Bayraktaroglu praised the professionalism of the Pakistan armed forces and reiterated Türkiye’s commitment to deepen military-to-military collaboration, including joint military exercises and enhanced strategic coordination.
The meeting reflects the enduring Pakistan–Türkiye defence partnership and their joint commitment to promoting regional peace, stability, and security.
