Iranian forces on high alert as Trump’s naval threat sparks warnings of full retaliation
Tehran, Iran | Web Desk – Iranian officials have issued stern warnings following US President Donald Trump’s naval deployment near Iranian waters. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any aggression, with personnel “fingers on the trigger.”
Araghchi emphasized Iran’s support for a transparent, fair nuclear deal that excludes nuclear weapons while safeguarding Iran’s legitimate rights. Meanwhile, Supreme Leader adviser Ali Shamkhani warned that any US military action against Iran would trigger immediate, comprehensive, and exemplary retaliation targeting the US, Israel, and their allies.
This follows Trump’s declaration that a US naval fleet led by the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln is en route to the region, fully capable of using force if necessary. Trump reiterated his preference for Iran to engage in talks to achieve a fair, balanced, nuclear-free agreement acceptable to all parties.
