Actor says respect given to Indian artists often goes unreturned, sparking social media debate
Karachi, Pakistan | Web Desk – Renowned Pakistani actor and comedian Ahmed Ali Butt has openly criticized Indian writer and poet Javed Akhtar, stating that one cannot expect respect from certain Indian artists.
Speaking on his popular podcast, Butt reflected on Akhtar’s visit to Pakistan last year. “We gave him our respect, but in return, he made several statements against Pakistan,” Butt said. He further added that Akhtar, along with other Indian artists, has lost their dignity in his view, calling them “stains on art.”
Ahmed Ali Butt, known for his work in hit TV dramas like “Gentleman” and “Jhooti”, as well as films such as “Jawani Phir Nahi Aani”, “Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 2”, and “Punjab Nahi Jaungi”, has established himself as a multifaceted artist in Pakistan’s entertainment industry. Apart from acting, Butt actively hosts podcasts addressing national and international controversies, where he shares candid opinions on trending and polarizing topics.
