Authorities recover suspicious object from collapsed Gul Plaza building; investigations underway.
In Karachi, rescue officials discovered a suspicious device inside the collapsed Gul Plaza building, which was gutted in a devastating fire. The object, possibly a central AC radiator or another device, has been moved to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) South office for further investigation. Authorities are carefully clearing debris to continue the search for missing individuals trapped inside.
The DC South office has also updated the official list of missing persons, now including 77 names. Earlier, 88 names were reported, and some bodies have been handed over to their families. Contact details of missing persons’ relatives are also listed to facilitate communication. Rescue teams continue operations with utmost caution to ensure safety while removing rubble and securing the site.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the nature of the suspicious device and its relevance to the fire incident. Officials urge the public to avoid speculation and rely only on verified updates from authorities.
