KP govt withdraws May 9 vandalism case in Mardan against PTI leaders, workers

KPK: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved withdrawal of cases against PTI workers and leaders who were accused in May 9 related vandalism case in Mardan.

Provincial Food Minister Zahir Shah Toro, MNA Mujahid Khan and several members of the provincial assembly are among the accused. 

During the hearing of the case in anti terrorism court in Mardan on Saturday, Additional Advocate General Sikandar Khan and other lawyers appeared in court. Additional Advocate General submitted letter of Additional Secretary Home regarding the withdrawal of May 9 case. 

Earlier, Additional Advocate General was appointed as public prosecutor for May 9 case as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government transferred the public prosecutor. 

ATC later adjourned the hearing of the case till October 15.
