Indian T20 cricket team captain Suryakumar Yadav has filed a defamation case against Bollywood actress Khushi Mukherjee, demanding damages worth ₹100 crore.
According to Indian media reports, the legal action was taken after a controversial statement went viral on social media. Khushi Mukherjee had claimed that Suryakumar Yadav frequently sent her messages.
Suryakumar Yadav’s legal team rejected the allegation, calling it false, baseless, and damaging to his reputation. Lawyers stated that there is no evidence to support the claim, and such unverified statements can severely affect the personal and professional life of any public figure.
The legal team further emphasized that targeting celebrities with unsubstantiated accusations is not only irresponsible but also creates a misleading impression among the public. They added that legal action has become necessary against such actions.
