Post-mortem report, forensic findings and additional witness statements submitted to judicial commission
WEB DESK: The investigation officer in the murder case of young businessman Mir Raza has submitted additional key documents and forensic reports to the judicial commission.
According to investigative sources, the officer submitted Mir Raza’s post-mortem report along with forensic reports concerning his smartwatch, mobile phone and other belongings.
Copies of additional statements recorded by witnesses under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure were also presented before the commission.
Punjab Forensic Laboratory unable to unlock iPhone
According to investigative sources, the Punjab Forensic Laboratory has been unable to unlock Mir Raza’s iPhone.
Sources said the laboratory formally informed the investigation team about its inability to access the device.
The smartwatch and mobile phone will reportedly be returned to the investigation team, according to investigative sources.
Limited material recovered from Apple Watch
Investigative sources said several screenshots and messages were recovered from Mir Raza’s Apple Watch.
However, the material was reportedly not considered significant for the investigation.
The newly submitted documents and forensic reports will form part of the ongoing investigation. Any final determination regarding the evidentiary value of the material or legal responsibility will depend on the findings of the investigation and relevant judicial proceedings.
