A social media stunt went wrong in Jhansi after a young man misjudged the water level and landed on rocks at the Pahuj Dam.
Web Desk: An Indian youth suffered serious injuries after jumping from a height of around 30 feet at Pahuj Dam in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, while attempting to record a stunt for social media.
According to Indian media reports, the young man was at the dam with a group of friends when he decided to perform the stunt for a video intended for his social media account.
Youth misjudged water level
The young man reportedly planned to jump from the dam into the water but misjudged the water level and conditions below.
Instead of landing safely in the water, he fell onto rocks inside the dam, leaving him seriously injured.
Both legs fractured
The impact reportedly caused fractures to both of his legs.
The injured youth cried out in pain, prompting people nearby to intervene and alert police. He was subsequently taken to a hospital for treatment.
Doctors performed surgery on his injured legs, according to the reports.
