LAHORE, PAKISTAN — WEB DESK: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has launched an internal inquiry following media reports concerning the discipline and conduct of players, saying the matter will be examined through an internal process before any conclusions are drawn.
According to a PCB spokesperson quoted by Express News, the board has taken notice of reports circulating in the media and initiated an inquiry to establish the relevant facts.
The PCB stressed that the process would give appropriate consideration to the circumstances and the positions of all individuals concerned, indicating that the board does not intend to reach conclusions solely on the basis of media reports.
The announcement represents the beginning of an investigative process rather than a finding of misconduct against any particular player.

The development comes during a difficult period for Pakistan cricket following disappointing performances during the team’s recent tour of England.
Earlier this month, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi was reported to be considering tougher decisions after Pakistan’s defeat at Lord’s, with sources saying he was disappointed with the performances of several senior and experienced players.
The board’s selection decisions have also attracted criticism from former Pakistan cricketers.
Seven players were removed from the national squad during the England series after Pakistan lost the opening two Tests, prompting criticism from former players including Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik and Tanveer Ahmed.
