Security forces conducted intelligence-based operations in Mastung, Quetta, Kalat and Sibi, according to Pakistan’s military media wing.
Web Desk: Pakistan’s security forces have killed 48 terrorists in multiple intelligence-based operations across Balochistan over the past 48 to 72 hours, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The military’s media wing said the operations were conducted in Mastung, Quetta, Kalat and Sibi against what it described as terrorists linked to Indian proxies, including Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij.
ISPR said 36 terrorists were killed during operations conducted in different areas of the province, while further engagements brought the reported total to 48.
Six terrorists killed in Mastung operation
According to ISPR, security forces detected terrorist movement during an operation in Mastung on September 4.
An exchange of fire followed, resulting in the deaths of six terrorists, the military said.
A cache of ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) was also destroyed at the site, according to the statement.
26 killed in Quetta operation
In another intelligence-based operation in the Shaban area of Quetta, security forces identified four alleged militant hideouts.
ISPR said an ensuing exchange of fire resulted in 26 terrorists being killed.
The military described those killed in the Quetta operation as members of Fitna al-Khawarij.
Two killed in Kalat
Security forces also raided a suspected terrorist hideout in Kalat, where two terrorists were killed, according to ISPR.
The military said the operation was part of continued intelligence-based efforts to counter militant activity across Balochistan.
Terror attack on Sibi police station foiled
In Bhag area of Sibi district, security forces, working with local residents, responded to an attempted attack on the Bhag police station.
According to ISPR, the attackers engaged security personnel in a firefight, during which two terrorists were killed.
The military said sanitisation operations were subsequently launched to locate and eliminate any other militants who might be present in the area.
Security operations to continue
ISPR said Pakistan’s counter-terrorism campaign would continue under the government’s Azm-e-Istehkam framework.
The military said security forces and law-enforcement agencies remain committed to eliminating what it described as foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism.

Balochistan remains a major security hotspot
Balochistan has remained one of Pakistan’s major areas affected by militant violence.
According to figures cited by report from the Centre for Research and Security Studies, Balochistan recorded 94 violent incidents and 265 violence-related fatalities during the second quarter of 2026. Together, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa accounted for nearly 96% of violence-related fatalities recorded in Pakistan during that period.
The latest operations come amid continued security efforts in the province targeting militant networks and preventing attacks on security installations and public facilities.
