Babar Azam Presents Signed Pakistan Cricket Bat to King Charles III
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM — WEB DESK: Pakistan Test captain Babar Azam presented King Charles III with a cricket bat signed by members of the national team during a reception at Clarence House in London, as the touring side took a break from preparations for the final Test of its series against England.
The meeting took place on Wednesday, September 2, when the King welcomed members of Pakistan’s national cricket team to Clarence House. Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, players and members of the coaching and support staff attended the reception.
The Royal Family’s official social-media account also published photographs from the engagement, confirming that the King had received the Pakistan national cricket team at Clarence House.
Babar Presents Signed Bat
During the meeting, Babar presented the monarch with a specially prepared cricket bat bearing signatures from members of the Pakistan team.
According to the Express account, King Charles examined the bat and asked Babar and Naqvi whether it had been made from Pakistani wood. Babar replied that the bat was being presented as a gift from the Pakistan team.
The exchange provided a lighter moment during a difficult tour for Pakistan, who have already lost the three-Test series to England.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi attended alongside the team and later described his interaction with the King as productive.
The Express report itself confirms Naqvi’s presence and identifies Babar as the player who personally handed the signed bat to the British monarch.
Meeting Comes During Difficult England Tour
The royal engagement took place against the backdrop of a challenging Test series for Pakistan.
England secured an unassailable 2-0 lead after winning the second Test at Lord’s by 194 runs. Pakistan were bowled out for 110 in their first innings and 194 while chasing 389 in the second, with Saud Shakeel’s 97 providing the strongest resistance.
The defeat followed England’s innings-and-103-run victory in the opening Test.
Pakistan subsequently made sweeping changes to their squad and coaching structure. The PCB replaced Test head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed with Mike Hesson and sent seven players home, bringing in several replacements ahead of the final match.
The decisions have attracted criticism from former Pakistan captains and other prominent cricket figures, some of whom questioned the timing and scale of the mid-series overhaul.
The third and final Test is scheduled to begin at Edgbaston in Birmingham on September 9, where Pakistan will attempt to avoid a 3-0 series defeat.
