Hina Javed’s post-mortem found a fractured neck bone and injuries to her ribs and hip, while the cause of death remains undetermined.
RAWALPINDI – Web Desk: The post-mortem examination of Hina Javed, who was found dead at her home in Rawalpindi’s Lalkurti area, has revealed multiple injuries on her body, while forensic tests are being conducted to determine the cause of death.
According to the post-mortem report, Hina’s neck bone was fractured, while injury marks were also found on her ribs and hip bone. The report further stated that her pericardium and heart were filled with blood.
Body Found at Home
Hina’s body was found in a bathroom at her residence in Lalkurti, which falls within the jurisdiction of the Civil Lines police station.
Police subsequently arrested her husband, Faisal Asghar, and his employee, Zeeshan, in connection with the alleged murder. Police officials said Hina had been married to Asghar for nine months.
Police had initially told the doctor that Hina had allegedly been hanged by her husband.
However, the post-mortem examination identified injuries to several parts of her body, prompting further forensic investigation.
Cause of Death Not Yet Determined
The post-mortem was conducted by Dr Maria Khalid approximately 12 hours after Hina’s death.
The report said the cause of death could not initially be determined clearly. DNA samples were collected from the victim’s body and sent to a laboratory, while additional samples were forwarded for forensic examination.
The forensic results are expected to help investigators establish how Hina died and determine whether the injuries were connected to the circumstances surrounding her death.
Suspects Sent on Physical Remand
The post-mortem findings emerged a day after a local court in Rawalpindi granted police a three-day physical remand of the two suspects.
Police produced Asghar and Zeeshan before a magistrate and requested their physical custody for further investigation.
The investigation officer told the court that police had recovered a rope and wire allegedly used in the crime from the suspects. The magistrate subsequently approved the three-day physical remand.
Investigation Continues
Police have also included Asghar’s father in the investigation, according to officials. His statement has been recorded as part of the ongoing probe.
Investigators are now awaiting the results of DNA and other forensic examinations to establish the cause and circumstances of Hina Javed’s death.
At this stage, the allegations against the arrested suspects remain allegations, and the investigation and forensic process are ongoing.
