Focus on regional peace and security

Pezeshkian says Iran remains under pressure

Addressing an event, Pezeshkian said Iran was standing firm despite what he described as severe US sanctions.
He said Tehran was attempting to confront what he characterised as an unequal conflict while maintaining national resilience.
Iran rejects US pressure
Pezeshkian also accused the United States of attempting to turn Iran into another Venezuela, saying the effort had failed.
According to the Iranian president, Iran’s adversaries wanted the country to be destroyed but had failed to achieve that objective.
He said Iran had emerged as a stronger force through national unity and expressed hope that the difficulties facing the Iranian people would be overcome soon.
