Pakistan military says security forces eliminated 12 alleged India-sponsored militants during two intelligence-based operations in Balochistan, recovering weapons and ammunition.
RAWALPINDI, Pakistan — WEB DESK: Pakistan’s security forces killed 12 alleged India-sponsored militants during two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Balochistan, the military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said on Wednesday.
According to the ISPR, the operations were carried out after intelligence reports about the presence of militants in different parts of the province. Security forces engaged the suspects during the operations, resulting in the deaths of 12 militants.
The military stated that the individuals killed were allegedly involved in terrorist activities and were linked to groups it described as being sponsored by India. The ISPR said weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the sites of the operations.
The statement added that the militants had been involved in attacks targeting security forces and civilians in Balochistan, and that intelligence-based operations would continue to eliminate terrorist threats from the region.
Pakistan’s military reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and stability, stating that security forces remain determined to eradicate terrorism and prevent militant organizations from disrupting national security.
